This week on ClockSpeak, Creative Director Oktay Akay shares his take on the question: "Do you see artificial intelligence merely as a production tool, or as a new 'team member' or 'creative partner'? What does the difference mean to you?" 👇

Do you see artificial intelligence merely as a production tool, or as a new 'team member' or 'creative partner'? What does the difference mean to you?
I see artificial intelligence as a teammate. I bring emotion, intuition and story to the table; it analyses billions of data points and turns them into work.
I come with my instinct, it comes with its speed. I add meaning, it adds possibility. When the two come together the process flows, and in the end good work emerges.
During the process I act as creative director for the artificial intelligence, just as I would for a team member. I find the idea, develop it, it produces, and if it doesn't work I give revisions and it does it again. When we strike the right balance, we make a perfect pair.
After the pandemic, "brainstorming" became a luxury. Artificial intelligence filled that gap: it has no ego, it never says the idea is silly, and it works overtime whenever I need it. Isn't this exactly the ideal teammate described in job postings?
So, for you, is artificial intelligence a tool or a teammate?
