Rebuilding a Live Site Without Disrupting It

With its 4 hotels in Türkiye and a city hotel in the USA, The Marmara Hotels is one of Türkiye's leading hotel groups. For a hotel group, a website isn't just a promotional tool; it's the main channel where bookings, campaigns, and guest relationships take place. Even an hour of downtime means a direct loss of revenue.

That's why the hardest part of the project was running two jobs at the same time. On one hand, we kept the live site running smoothly; on the other, we built the new site from scratch and planned the transition. It was also essential that all the web services the hotel uses, along with the loyalty program, worked flawlessly on the new site.

We Got to Know the Brand First, Then Rebuilt It

We started working with The Marmara Hotels by providing updates, maintenance, and support on the platform the hotel was using at the time. This period, which lasted about a year, gave us the opportunity to see the site's strengths and weaknesses from the inside. We made the redesign decision based on that accumulated knowledge.

Our 15 years of experience in tourism and the 35 brands we work with in this sector today were reflected in every step of the process. We began by analyzing the guest journey, from arriving on the site to completing a booking. We built the new site in line with current web trends and user experience principles, using our own infrastructure and design language.

From Analysis to Launch: A New Site, End to End

UI/UX Centered on the Guest Journey

We began by analyzing the existing site's usage data and the steps guests take to choose a hotel and make a booking. We designed the new interface to make it easier for guests to compare hotels, explore rooms and amenities, and move on to booking.

A New Site Built on Our Own Infrastructure and Design Language

We developed the site from scratch on our own [infrastructure name]-based infrastructure, from front-end coding to programming. We created a new design language that brings The Marmara Hotels' premium brand identity together with current web trends. The site delivers the same experience on desktop and mobile.

Web Services and Loyalty Program Integration

We connected all the web services the hotel wanted integrated to the new site. By also integrating the loyalty program into the site, we enabled guests to access its privileges directly through the website.

Content Production and Content Entry

We produced the page content for all the hotels in line with the new structure and entered it into the site.

Testing and a Smooth Launch

Before launching the new site, we tested all integrations, forms, and pages. We completed the transition without disrupting the live site's service and without any issues.

More Organic Traffic, More Efficient Advertising

With the new site, we achieved an increase in both organic traffic and the return on advertising investments. Today, we continue to manage The Marmara Hotels' site with a more up-to-date and more active management approach.
